BRAIN MAPPING

Understanding the Brain with qEEG

Non-invasive, comfortable, and designed to connect symptoms with measurable brain function.

qEEG is the recording of the brain’s electrical activity (EEG), easily measurable from the scalp surface, that is then compared to an FDA registered database of normal brain activity for people of different ages. This comparison turns EEG into qEEG (quantitative EEG), allowing the matching of symptoms or difficulties to measurable brain function.

Unlike other methods of brain imaging, qEEG is non-invasive and simple. We record qEEG in a pleasant office environment, in a comfortable reclining chair, using soft caps with built-in sensors. We’ve recorded tens of thousands of qEEGs for clients ranging in age from 2 years to people in their 80s.

Non-invasive & simple No needles, no radiation, and a comfortable office-based experience.
Age-inclusive database Compared against an FDA registered database across many age groups.
Comfort-first setup Soft caps with built-in sensors in a relaxed reclining chair.
Thousands of recordings Extensive experience across children, teens, adults, and older adults.

FROM MAP TO METHOD

How a Brain Map Guides Personalized Treatment

QEEG findings help connect patterns of brain activity to a focused, individualized treatment plan.

01 · ANALYZE

Analyzing the brain map

Analyzing raw artifacted data helps us see where and how overactivity in the brain may contribute to difficulties. In this example, the findings highlight patterns involving the left hemisphere, which is associated with details, language, organizing, and abstract thinking. The connectome helps show the brain locations that may not be functioning as expected.

This information is used to develop a protocol that is tailored to the individual's brain patterns and treatment goals.

02 · PERSONALIZE

Creating a personalized protocol

Brain-map findings can then be translated into a targeted protocol. The example above shows brain regions selected to address the primary issues revealed by the map, with treatment settings and stimulation targets chosen around the individual's needs.

Protocols are reviewed by the clinical team and can be refined as progress is tracked over time.

A personalized process Every brain map is interpreted in context, alongside the client's history, symptoms, and goals.
